The BBC drama dept was rebranded: BBC drama production. This brand needed to be applied throughout the new department at Television Centre. We designed new display units for each of the three entrances, which featured the iconic BBC and department name, along with a typographic treatment of popular BBC drama scripts. This use of scripts as a visual element was to celebrate the range of output from East Enders to Jane Austen. This graphic treatment layered up famous quotes, using a typewriter font, to create long runs of graphics required across all internal glass walls.

By layering up the text, from iconic BBC drama scripts, I created a background texture. By flexing the size, I emphasised particular phrases to create humour and increase coverage.

​Feedback from the drama department was enthusiastic and in fact these graphics are parodied in the background sets of the BBC comedy series W1A.
